My research focuses on identifying and developing novel alternative treatments for biofilm-associated antimicrobial-resistant bacteria. Specifically, I investigate the antimicrobial and anti-biofilm activities of lactic acid bacteria-derived cell-free supernatants and plant extracts. This work aims to explore natural and sustainable therapeutic strategies that can disrupt biofilm formation, inhibit bacterial growth, and overcome resistance mechanisms, ultimately contributing to improved management of persistent and hard-to-treat infections.
