Research Summary :

My research focuses on parasitology, particularly opisthorchiasis and cholangiocarcinoma. I have worked on pathogenesis, molecular mechanisms, diagnosis, epidemiology, and prevention and control strategies. My goal is to better understand the biology and host parasite interactions of this infection and translate findings into practical solutions. This includes developing early and accessible diagnostic tools and evidence based interventions.

Opisthorchiasis caused by Opisthorchis viverrini remains a major public health challenge in Thailand and the Greater Mekong subregion due to its strong association with cholangiocarcinoma. My work aims to reduce both infection prevalence and cancer incidence in endemic areas.

Currently, my research adopts a One Health approach, integrating human, animal, and environmental health. By combining molecular epidemiology, field studies, and community level interventions, I seek sustainable strategies for long term disease control.
