My research is centered on Protein Science and Structural Biology, utilizing X-ray crystallography and biophysical techniques to elucidate the functional mechanisms of membrane-associated proteins. I have interest in the molecular dynamics and signaling states of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), including Rhodopsin, as models for understanding transmembrane communication. My current work applies these structural insights to cell-surface proteins overexpressed in cancer cells, which often drive aberrant signaling pathways. By determining high-resolution structures of these medically relevant targets, my laboratory aims to characterize their binding counterparts, ranging from small-molecule ligands to antibody fragments (scFvs/Nanobodies). Through the integration of protein engineering and in silico molecular docking, my research provides the structural foundation to map these interactions and support the design of precise molecular tools for oncology and metabolic disorders.
