Cellular and Molecular Immunology, Immunity to fungal infection, Immunometabolism

Research Summary :

My research systematically advances the understanding of critical host-pathogen interactions during Cryptococcus infection, identifying novel immunomodulatory targets through robust pulmonary murine models. By exploring the complex interplay between the host immune system and Cryptococcus species, my work highlights the pivotal role of immunometabolism and specific cytokine pathways in disease progression. These findings underscore the therapeutic potential of precise immunomodulation to enhance protective immunity, ultimately paving the way for more effective clinical treatments for cryptococcosis.
