Associate Professor Nuntra Suwantarat, MD, D(ABMM), MSc(HSE) received her M.D. from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI. Following a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Case Western Reserve University Program in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Suwantarat did a second fellowship in Medical Microbiology at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, under the supervision of Karen C. Carroll. Upon completion of her fellowship training, Dr. Suwantarat joined the faculty at Chulabhorn International College of Medicine (CICM), Thammasat University, Thailand. She is currently a lecturer, Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Consultant at Thammasat University Hospital. She is the Chairman of the Rational Laboratory Use (RLU) Comittee, Thammasat University Hospital. Dr. Suwantarat’s focused area of research is in antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and diagnositc microbiology in resource-limited settings. She is the Masterly Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians of Thailand (MFRCPT) and the ID fellow training
Board of the Infectious Disease Society of Thialand. In addition, she has been involved in medical education and previously served as the Vice Dean for Medical Education at CICM.
