Research Summary :

My research focuses on cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, particularly the development of nanotechnology-based approaches for early detection and the study of apoptosis in cancer cells. My work involves the green synthesis of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) using plant extracts and their functionalization with biomolecules, such as anti-HER2 antibodies, to enable selective detection of HER2-positive breast cancer cells. Using a colorimetric assay platform, this approach provides a rapid, cost-effective, and highly sensitive diagnostic method with excellent specificity and minimal cytotoxicity. In parallel, my research also explores the role of nanoparticles and bioactive compounds in inducing apoptosis, offering insights into potential therapeutic strategies. My ongoing work aims to validate these findings in clinical specimens, contributing to the development of accessible and precise tools for early-stage cancer detection and treatment.
