Molecular Immunology & Immunogenetics; KIR-HLA Diversity in Viral Infections; Population Genetics of Northeastern Thais; Immunosenescence and Cardiovascular Risk.

Research Summary :

My research integrates molecular immunology, immunogenetics, and infectious diseases, focusing on the diversity of Killer Immunoglobulin-like Receptors (KIR) and their HLA ligands. I investigate how genetic variations—including copy number variations (CNVs) and allelic polymorphisms—influence susceptibility to Dengue virus and HIV-1. Utilizing multiplex PCR-SSP and meta-analysis, my work characterizes the genetic architecture of specific populations, such as Northeastern Thais. Recently, my research has expanded to explore immunosenescence biomarkers, specifically CD57, and their association with cardiovascular disease risk in aging populations.
